We work with hospitals, nursing homes and physician offices. Our overall goal is to make health care safer and more efficient, effective, timely, patient-centered and equitable. We partner with hospitals working to improve patient safety by reducing surgical and other hospital-acquired infections. We also assist both hospitals and nursing homes in preventing and treating pressure ulcers and also assist nursing homes in decreasing use of physical restraints. We work with physician offices to track and improve use of preventive tests. Our pharmacy staff participates in a broad program designed to reduce the incidence of and drug-to-drug interactions.
