Montana Hospitals Win Awards |

(Helena, Mont.)—Twelve Montana hospitals were recognized by Mountain-Pacific Quality Health as Hospital Quality Award recipients, Sept. 24, 2009, during the MHA annual convention in Billings at the Holiday Inn. Mountain-Pacific has presented hospitals with Hospital Quality Awards for the last seven years. This year’s awards recognized hospitals’ performance in four national projects designed to improve care for heart attacks, heart failure, pneumonia and to prevent surgical infections. The awards also acknowledged performance in additional patient safety initiatives and hospital leadership in quality improvement. Seven hospitals received the Quality Achievement Award—the highest award possible - Benefis Health System, Great Falls

- Community Hospital of Anaconda, Anaconda
- Community Medical Center, Missoula
- Kalispell Regional Medical Center, Kalispell
- Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital, Hamilton
Five hospitals received the Commitment to Quality Award - Barrett Hospital and Healthcare, Dillon
- Marias Medical Center, Shelby
- Northern Montana Hospital, Havre
- Sidney Health Center, Sidney
- St. Peter’s Hospital, Helena
All Montana hospitals are eligible to apply for Hospital Quality Awards. Award-winning hospitals ranged from small rural hospitals to large urban hospitals.
