Wyoming Nursing Homes Win Awards PDF Print E-mail
(Glenrock, Wyo.)—Seven Wyoming nursing homes have been recognized as 2008-2009 recipients of Mountain-Pacific’s Quality Awards. The Excellence in Care Award, which is the highest award given to nursing homes, requires nursing homes to
  • improve care on publicly reported measures;
  • be at the 25th percentile or better on high-risk pressure ulcers and physical restraints; and
  • achieve a 95% or better level of willing and eligible residents vaccinated for influenza and up-to-date on their pneumococcal vaccinations.
The winners in this category include:
  • Crook County Medical Services
  • Platte County Memorial Nursing Home
  • Weston County Health Service
Nursing homes winning the Quality Achievement Award, were required to
  • improve care on publicly reported measures;
  • be at the 40th percentile or better on high-risk pressure ulcers and physical restraints; and
  • achieve an 85% or better level of willing and eligible residents vaccinated for influenza and up-to-date on their pneumococcal vaccinations.
 The winners in this category include:
  • Bonnie Bluejacket Memorial Nursing Home
  • Life Care Center of Cheyenne
  • Westview Health Care Center
  • Wind River Healthcare & Rehabilitation
