The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services contracts with Mountain-Pacific to provide a transportation management system. The responsibilities of this contract include the following:
ambulance review
private vehicle review, approval and reimbursement
Ambulance - The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services contracts with Mountain-Pacific to perform medical necessity review of ambulance transports.
Commercial - The Montana Department of Public Health & Human Services contracts with Mountain-Pacific to preauthorize medical transportation services to Medicaid-covered appointments.
Mileage and Per Diem Reimbursement - Montana’s Medicaid program covers mileage and per diem associated with travel to necessary medical care that is covered by the Montana Medicaid program.
Specialized Non-Emergency - The Montana Department of Public Health & Human Services contracts with Mountain-Pacific for prior authorization of medical transportation services.
